Though it seems like a minor problem, the mask requirements that came with the pandemic made many people wish for the invention of anti-fogging glasses. It used to be just an issue on cold days, when the heat from your breath would force you to look through the haze on your glasses, but the pandemic mask requirements turned a minor inconvenience into a major problem. Rather than having to remove your glasses to wipe them with the bottom half of your shirt when they become foggy, who wouldn’t want a pair that never fogged in the first place? Although it seems like something like this would have been invented by now, we are still waiting for the time when we can go out into the cold or wear a mask without having to take de-fogging breaks every five minutes.

You may think this is impossible, but it could be true someday. Dreams do come true, and we occasionally have ideas while sleeping. We tend to forget things the next day, so there should be a device that can recall them. Some ideas do come to you when you keep thinking of a solution, and this is similar to taking notes on what you dreamed about.

Cloudbuster for Rain
With global warming wreaking havoc on various regions, drought has become a major concern and a great invention to alleviate this crisis that people want but hasn’t been invented, would be a cloudbuster. For many years, scientists have attempted to manipulate the environment in hopes of inducing storms to water crops and provide relief to those suffering from drought-like conditions. Though there have been many attempts, and some very limited success with processes such as cloud seeding, there has yet to be an invention which has effectively generated storms that could impact such dry conditions. However, that has not discouraged people from continuing to try and invent a cloudbusting device, but as of now, the public is still left waiting and wanting.

Real-Time Universal Language Translators
Real-time universal language translators. Ever since the earliest episodes of Star Trek, people have dreamed of a world where one can speak their native language and in real-time someone else can hear those words in their own language. This technology isn’t as far away as you might think, and when it comes to fruition it will be one of the most significant developments in global communication and international cooperation. I know I will be one of their first customers.

A Smartwatch that Can Detect Diseases
If we’re being honest, the average person considers doctor’s visits a nerve-wracking experience. Besides that, appointments and examinations are costly. Smart watches have been convenient for helping us monitor heart rate and even sleep cycles. Yet, our next greatest need is a disease-detection feature. This invention or upgrade will save people money from back-and-forth appointments. But what’s most valuable will be its ability to buy us more time to spend with our loved ones while we get the treatment needed in time before conditions worsen.
Eyeglasses That Provide Broader Peripheral Vision
Eyeglasses that provide a broader peripheral vision would be helpful in preventing accidents. For example, both drivers and bicyclists could wear them and avoid hitting things outside of their usual field of vision. Additionally, the glasses could double as sunglasses! You’d never reach for your old Ray-bans again!

A Printer That Doesn’t Need Ink
An eco-friendly printer that uses something other than ink to print, such as coffee grounds. For offices printing a plethora of paperwork, replacing ink costs both time and money. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a printer that runs on something we’d normally throw away anyway? Coffee grounds would be the perfect choice because most businesses brew coffee all day every day. Win-win!

Animal-Human Language and Behavior Translator
I would be thrilled if wearable technology like an animal-human translator that can translate animal language and behavior to human speech and vice versa were available to everyone. Although other giant tech companies have developed an animal translator device, it’s far from being the thing that people need to establish quality two-way communication with animals, not just pets but especially wild and extinct species.
Animal translator device currently developed only optimizes sounds. It would be a great addition if the device could also decrypt animal behaviors, as these are excellent communication cues (e.g., if an animal is sick and can’t make a sound). If it’s wearable, it should be in the form of a tag, like a dog tag. Such a device will be highly useful in saving and perhaps resurrecting endangered species and letting the new generation see their beauty. We might even get a clue about how to revive the dinosaurs.

Affordable Space Travel
Humans have been traveling to space for decades now, but that fact does not quite help the average person out there. What people really want is an affordable space travel program, where you can book a tour or a journey at affordable rates and enjoy your time in space. We have renewable rocket technology today, so this affordable space travel might become a thing in the future. And while we are at it, we could also use some space restaurants where people can come to relax, eat food, and enjoy the view with others.

A Panacea to Cure All Diseases
Named after the Greek universal remedy goddess, a panacea is one thing people have wanted since time immemorial. This all-purpose remedy can solve not just simple human health problems, but it can also give hope to those battling life-threatening conditions like cancer and HIV. Through this, the emergence of new diseases will no longer fear people, and everyone will have peace of mind. Though there are existing medicines like penicillin that treat multiple illnesses, there is still no known invention that prevents or heals every ailment in the body. However, with a panacea, people will no longer need complex prescriptions from doctors, allowing us to live even longer, create more experiences, and ultimately improve our quality of life.

We all know the hassle of getting stuck in the middle of traffic. It is such a frustrating experience! Especially if you have a significant commitment that you cannot miss. Imagine the thoughts racing up fast in your mind. And the whole range of emotions that can set in – anxiety, anger, sadness. Your nerves can be in chaos. And you cannot even do anything to resolve the situation. It is the reason why I am sure that people always dream of a faster and easier way to travel from one place to another. We all have seen them in the movies. Flying cars that are zooming up above in the sky. Who wouldn’t want to ride in one? They might be fictional for now but who knows? They can soon be a reality. Not in this lifetime, they say, but it can be in the next. When that happens, it will be one great invention that can make many people happy.

Washing Machine That Irons and Folds Clothes
Everybody hates ironing and folding clothes. Imagine what an invaluable help with household chores a washing machine would be, with the function of drying, ironing, and then folding clothes. You just put the laundry in the washing machine and then pull it out dry, ironed, and folded. Hours saved, and the opportunity to get rid of the ironing board and iron itself. We already have dishwashers, and self-driving vacuum cleaners that mop the floor simultaneously, so now it’s time to bring doing laundry to a totally new level. And believe me, this is what people want.

Travel at the Speed of Light
One invention that people want to see, but has not yet, is the ability to travel at the speed of light. When you think about space exploration and how exciting it sounds, think about how time-consuming the process actually is. It takes us almost 7 months to travel to Mars currently, and almost 10 years to reach Pluto, the planet farthest from the sun in our solar system. Reality shows that space travel is not plausible for anything besides a few exploration missions. If we could invent a way to travel at the speed of light, it would open so many possibilities within our own solar system including, exploration, mining opportunities, colonization possibilities, an easier search for life in other places in our solar system and beyond. Instead of 10 years to get to Pluto, it would take 4.6 hours. The fastest probe in existence would take 18,000 years to reach the closest star, Alpha Centauri, to our solar system. Light Speed travel would cut this down to 4.4 years!

We’ve seen them in science fiction movies, but I wonder why we have been waiting so long for a proper hoverboard to come along. Plenty of other devices that we first encountered in the movies are now a part of everyday life, the internet being the perfect example, society simply could not function without it now. But just imagine the problems that could be solved if, instead of having to clog up the roads with our vehicles every day, we could just jump onto our hoverboard and zoom off to the office, or down to the store for our groceries. The space we could free up for parking could be put to better use, the time saved with no congestion at rush hour would enhance all our lives, and with an efficient means of propulsion, even the planet would benefit. The only issue may be that we have to use some of that rescued car parking space to build new hospitals until we all got into the swing of using our new hoverboards.

Every year laptops and cell phones get bigger and better batteries yet it never seems to be enough. It doesn’t matter if your battery lasts 1 day or 1 week, if you still have to charge it it’s only a matter of time before you forget. When battery technology becomes truly self-sustaining, however, whether that be through some form of advanced solar, kinetic energy, or something we haven’t figured out yet, one of our most frequent modern frustrations will instantly become a thing of the past.

People need a strong substitute for antibiotics medicine because It is slowly harming human beings by intoxicating them from the inside, it develops diseases like cancer if it is constantly being fed to the patient over time. People are losing lives because of it, but still they have to consume it for the sake of momentary relief. Our world needs something more revolutionary that can help us get rid of antibiotics in curing people and is not harmful even if they consume them daily. Various research explains that phage therapy can be the conclusion of it, but nothing is proven till now. We need an invention that can cure diseases that require antibiotics so that we can stop them from destroying the lives of millions of people.

Heartbreak Healing Machine
Unlike the protagonist in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I do not believe that there should be a potion or machine that can make it such that one may forget a past relationship. However, I do believe there should be some sort of pharmacological tonic you can drink to lessen the blow of a broken relationship and to heal a heartbreak in an instant because it is never a good experience. Strawberry flavoring would be ideal for this tonic.
