Five ideas that promote sport

on

In recent years we have experienced a spectacular development of sport in its different aspects in our country. It began as an exclusive idea of sport understood as high competition sport or spectacle sport to diversify into other forms: educational sport, leisure sport, recreational sport… We have gone from the idea that sport is something that only the most physically gifted can practice to sport as a right of all and to which we can access just by wanting it as long as we have in our environment the physical and material means to be able to practice it. For this reason, the commendable effort of the public powers to provide appropriate sports facilities and programs both for the school and for the rest of the population.

However, in this evolution a serious mistake has been made, due on the one hand to the lack of a sports culture and, on the other, to the implementation both at an educational and recreational level of sport in the image and likeness of federated or professional 무료스포츠중계, in such a way that practically all the structures that have been created for equipment and training programs have been made thinking exclusively of this sports model.

If we analyze the study plans of training centers such as the INEF or the Teacher Training Schools that specialize in Physical Education, we will realize that, despite the years that have passed, they suffer from the same defect: they it gives excessive importance to sport understood as a high-level sport and almost none to recreational sport or leisure sport. Although it is also true that for some time now the reform of the study plans has been studied and the polarization of the studies in a certain sense and its extension, therefore, to other areas, more in line with the interests and demands of today’s society.

It is also necessary to say that precisely one of the objectives of alternative games and sports is to present activities that do not need conventional facilities for their practice, preferably using the dirt patios of schools or nearby spaces such as parks, squares, etc.

2. Historical synthesis

The modern movement known as Games and alternative sports began in our country approximately at the beginning of the 1990s through the INEF seminars in Madrid. At first it was called “Alternative Sports for the Year 2000”, remaining two years later with the name of Alternative Games and Sports. The intention of the seminar was to seek a renewal in school Physical Education programs and through them to make young people aware of new sports habits that would make the concept of Sport for All understood as participatory sport really possible in the future. that anyone can practice and that is used to enjoy free time.
