Georgia certifies Nov. 8 election results

Atlanta – Georgia bowed to the November 8 election results on Monday, announcing that Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger approved the results.

Once this process is complete, it will officially pave the way for a runoff vote for Senators Raphael Warnock and Senators Herschel Walker. Counties can then begin holding early voting, with Douglas and DeKalb Counties announcing they will offer one this week before the Thanksgiving holiday.
“The 2022 midterm elections were a resounding success and we are delighted to confirm the results this afternoon. Thank you to the 159 Electoral Commissioners for taking up the challenge!” Raffensperger tweeted.

The second round is scheduled for December 6th. Most of Georgia’s 159 counties will not open early voting in their elections until Monday, November 28, but many counties have announced they will offer early voting on Sunday, November 27. vote. After the Friday decision of the court on the same day, on Saturday, November 26, early voting began.

The state began finalizing the certification process over the weekend after its county conducted a statewide audit of risk limits late last week and confirmed the results on Nov. 8.
