Interview with Mucisian

JULY 2022- ARLINGTON, TEXAS- T.N. Mojo, also known as ‘Mojo’,  is a musical artist from Atlanta, Georgia, now residing in Arlington, Texas. He keeps consistent with his work, and has a diverse range of sounds he makes. T.N. Mojo has set his sights on accomplishing his dreams and his goals are only expanding. “I’m getting ready to drop a single called R.R. soon. Right now I’m working on an untitled EP that should be done by the end of the summer.” With a bright future ahead, the diverse artist is resilient with his work, and motivated in the way he goes about making content. Smart, creative, and chill, T.N. Mojo is well respected with the content he produces. “​​Right now my inspiration comes from a lot of myself. Just trying to make the next thing I’m working on better than the last.”

Where are you from?

 I’m from Atlanta but I moved here to Arlington, Texas, from Michigan in 2006

How have you overcome struggles to be where you are now?

Yeah I get real bad creative blocks from being stuck in the same spot for too long. I had to start moving around more, traveling more so I can have different experiences

As a business owner, what are some obstacles you have had to overcome to get where you are at?

Learning the business side of things in general. A lot of time and money is wasted if your ducks are not in a row.

Who were the most influential people in your life?

My parents! My dad gave me the music and they both gave me support.

As a result of the outbreak of COVID-19, some artists had considerable difficulties in 2021; varied laws established at the local and federal levels prevented a large number of events with large crowds, including concerts and festivals, from taking place. T.N. Mojo’s concentration remained focused, and is now on continuing to pursue his business and music profession in order to build his already strong foundation even further than it is already. He does not let the past struggles affect him and says he definitely learned. 

T.N. Mojo gives motivation and has his sights set on the prize. He realizes that in order to be successful, one must not only invest in oneself, but also in those who will invest in you in exchange for their efforts on his behalf. “Just to keep growing in whatever it is you’re doing. If you’re not learning new things or getting better what’s the point?” In the audience, he is motivated  at the thought of making a difference not just in his neighborhood, but also in the rest of the community.
